Mo’Nique isn’t going to let something like being nominated for an Academy Award stop her from doing what she loves: stand up!!
The actress/comedienne, who has already won a Golden Globe, SAG Award, and BAFTA for her unbelievable performance as an abusive mother in Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire, recently talked about her recent whirlwind success and her upcoming comedy tour, Spread the Love!!
The Abbey Road Studios building in London where the Beatles recorded most of their albums was officially named a historic building today by English Heritage after the organization appealed to the government to do so.
The statement by English Heritage chief executive Simon Thurley states that the building:
“…Acts as a modern day monument to the history of recorded sound and music. Some of the most defining sounds of the 20th century were created within the walls of the Abbey Road Studios. It contains, quite simply, the most famous recording studios in the world.”
Kelly Ripa showed off her new tattoo on her wrist on Wednesday’s “Regis and Kelly” show.
Kelly Ripa, who already has a flower tattoo on her inner ankle, had “Consuelos” inked on her wrist. Although Kelly kept her last name, she apparently wanted to honor her husband of 13 years, Mark Consuelos, with her new ink.
After showing off her new tattoo on Wednesdays show, Ripa said of her tattoo, “It’s a little inky but it will heal.”
Former vice president Dick Cheney was hospitalized on Monday at George Washington University Hospital after suffering from chest pains.
Dick Cheney was hospitalized after having chest pains today. “His doctors are evaluating the situation and he is resting comfortably,” Cheney’s office said in their statement.
Reports have stated that Cheney, 69, underwent an angiogram and doctors said he is in stable condition.
Cheney may have additional treatment Tuesday. “We don’t know what the plan is,” a doctor told NBC News.
The former vice president has a history of heart disease. Cheney suffered his first of four heart attacks at the age of 37. Since that time Cheney has had eight “cardiac events”.
Caroline McWilliams has died at age 64 from complications of multiple myeloma.
Actress Caroline McWilliams lost her battle with cancer at the age of 64. McWilliams reportedly died on February 11th at her home in Los Angeles.
Caroline McWilliams is most well-known for her role as Marcy Hill on “Benson”, which also starred Robert Guillaume. McWilliams went on to play in the spinoff of Benson called “Soap”.
The actress had her first break in television in the late sixties when she was cast on “Guiding Light.” McWilliams also had a role in “Another World” and then later in “Beverly Hills 90210″.
Caroline’s Broadway work included roles in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”, “The Rothschilds,” and “Boccacio”.
McWilliams was married previously to actor Michael Keaton for eight years and they have a son together, Sean Maxwell Douglas, age 26.
Akon, who signed Lady GaGa to his KonLive imprint (along with her being signed by Streamline and Cherry Tree) at Interscope Records, is thanking his lucky stars that he did – or at least his bank account is!! Here’s what Akon had to say:
