Lil wayne and Birdman

Rappers Lil Wayne and Birdman are being sued by a man that claims they used his voice without permission on some of their tracks.

Thomas Marasciullo is suing Lil Wayne and Birdman for copyright infringement, claiming he created some “Italian-styled spoken word recordings” for them in 2006, but didn’t give them permission to use them.

Marasciullo claims the recordings were used on several songs on the rappers’ album “Like Father, Like Son” and also on Birdman’s CD 5 (Star) Stunna.

Marasciullo reportedly discovered the rappers had used his recordings when his daughter came across the track Respect while buying a cell phone ringtone.

Marasciullo has also brought the lawsuit against their music label, Cash Money Records.

The news of the lawsuit is another major blow to Lil Wayne who will soon be sentenced after pleading guilty to firearms charges last month.
