The Enquirer is reporting that a former patient of Dr. Phil McGraw’s claims he sexually abused her.
Sara Morrison says, “Dr. Phil is a monster!” Morrison gives details on how Dr. Phil McGraw repeatedly fondled her and sexually abused her while he was treating her as a patient.
Morrison is a 44 year-old mother of one, and state that police were called to investigate the abuse.
“Not a single day has gone by when I haven’t been affected by what Phil McGraw did to me,” Sara told The Enquirer.
“He profoundly affected the course of my life. The world should know this man is a predator and a bully. He shouldn’t be telling Americans how to live their lives, how to improve themselves.”
Sara Morrison was a sophomore in college and home for the summer when she went for treatment with Dr. Phil in Wichita Fallas, Texas back in 1984.
“I suffered from low self-esteem, and I was depressed, lonely and suicidal,” recalled Sara. “Phil was extremely insistent that I call him all the time, and he would call me.
“He wanted to see me three or four times a week – as a patient.”
During Sara’s visits that summer, she said things were normal. But the following summer, he paid Sara to work as an intern but charged her as a patient still.
“The first day I showed up for work, Phil had his hands all over me,” she recalled.
Dr. Phil was 34 at that time and had been married to his second wife, Robin, for eight years.
“Phil would pull me down to sit in his lap while he talked on the phone to patients, other doctors, even his wife! He’d be running his hand up and down the inside of my thigh all the way up to my panties.”
Wow! Do you think this is true?
Yes I think it is likely true. The first 2 or 3 times that a friend confided to me that they had been having sex with their psychiatrist or psychologist I was shocked and surprised. I think that was about 10 years ago. I know about 8 or 9 people who have been taken advantage of when they were emotionally vulnerable.
I know a woman who was molested by her father (a psychiatrist) whose mother (also a psychiatrist) looked the other way. Recently a local psychiatrist in Long Island, NY was arrested for trying to convince his patient to kill his wife to avoid an expensive divorce.
Just because a person has a degree in economics doesn’t mean they suddenly have the knowledge and expertise to become a millionaire. In the same way earning a Ph.D. in psychology or an MD in Psychiatry doesn’t necessarily make a person any better emotionally or morally than you or I.
